FLAC (Free Lossless Audio Codec)
is an open format which allows digital audio to be lossless compressed such that file size is reduced without any information being lost. FLAC is supported by many hardware devices.
AAC (Advanced Audio Codec)
is a format developed by Fraunhofer. AAC Multichannel is native part of Android 4.1 and iOS (stereo downmix). It is also supported in every leading OS, by HTML 5 browsers and most media players: Windows 7/8, Mac OS, Internet Explorer 9, Safari & Chrome, Microsoft Media Player, Winamp, etc. It has HDTV broadcast surround sound audio quality.
AAC music files of mH3-Signature Sound can be played back on Android (Jelly Bean 4.1 and later versions) and iOS smartphones and tablets as well as Windows and Mac OS using native, built-in AAC Multichannel decoder. Devices can be conveniently connected for playback in the living room either over HDMI or wireless over Miracast (WiFi Alliance Standard).
